Abstract

The use of steam in the industrial sector is indispensable for the operation of various types of equipment, the production of steam as routinely occurs through steam boilers machines. Its manufacture involves steps that must be precise, among which one of the most important is the union, which is done by means of welding processes, requiring tests to be investigated their properties and observed how capable the boiler is to run its functions. Thus determine the physical and chemical characteristics of the weld bead is of extreme importance in order to ensure the quality of the set. This work is the study related to such determination, with the object of study the weld bead of firetube boilers, to be verified by destructive and nondestructive mechanical testing.
