Resumen
A lot has been discussed today about the relationship between language and technology, and to what extent they transform and complete themselves. With the growth of technologies and their media, new ways of thinking, communicating and teaching began to be (re)thought, discussed and put into practice. Together with this reality, online foreign language courses have also started to become popular, one of the most famous being the Duolingo application, which will be the environment of study. More specifically, the present work aims to analyze the present perfect tense approach on the platform. For this, we highlight the aspects presented by Laca (2010) and the explanation of the verbal time given by the device itself. The final objective of this dissertation is to analyze the verbal time that this site provides, verifying whether or not there are inconsistencies with the theory and the application itself, as well as a way to solve them or leave the content clearer to the learner. From the analysis of activities proposed by the Course on this tense, we analyzed its relevance to the theory on the subject, as well as the explanations of the application, taking into account aspects such as verbal classes, repetition and temporal appropriateness. The results show that the application presents several points of incoherence between what it offers of "learning" activity to the users both with respect to the theory about said time verb, as with the explanations offered there. Thus, we conclude that the technology used to teach the language is limited to the environment, since the proposal of teaching through translation is quite outdated (and inadequate).
