Política de Assistência Social: avanços e possibilidades no centro de referência especializado de assistência social (CREAS) do município de Telêmaco Borba/PR

Abstract

This research presents a historical approach and the emergence of socioeconomic Public Policies in Brazil. It also discussions about the institution of Social Assistance Policy in Brazil, from the 1988 Constitution, defining through laws, decrees and resolutions character actually intervening in the area of social assistance. Brings discussions regarding this policy in Telêmaco Borba through the characterization of the offered services of the Municipal Social Welfare, focusing on the care provided by the Center for Social Assistance Specialized Reference. In order to assess whether this policy is really fulfilling its role within the population, held semi-structured interviews with users of the service and also with the technical team of the same, printing a qualitative research and obtaining significant results that include suggestions that can add to the best quality care and as a result a social policy more efficient and effective in the municipality.
