Desenvolvimento de nova proposta de site acessível para o portal terceira idade

Abstract

This final year research project aimed to propose a new site to Portal Terceira Idade, and for that it united the principles of graphic design and accessibility guidelines to develop this project for third age people. A website is a tool that can be used for various purposes, including recreation, and for the elderly, this kind of digital inclusion is important because it is related to their participation as an active person in a society. This tool is supposed to allow access by anyone with special needs or not, and from different ages. In order to make this interaction happens it is necessary to invest in the study of usability and accessibility on websites, in order to improve the user experience while using these interfaces. During this project were applied knowledge of web development and accessibility guidelines contained in WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) document. This demonstrate the trend of interdisciplinary in design projects, increasingly seeking for collaboration of professionals from different fields.
