Resumen
This research aimed to identify the effects of short cycle times of the functionality of the upper limbs of workers in production lines, semi-automated. To verify the proposed objective, selected by a line of semi-automated production with short cycle time and break up along the journey to work. Examined the strength of handgrip strength through the perception of physical and mental fatigue using the Swedish Occupational Fatigue Inventory (ASHBERG et. al., 1997) and the perception of muscle-skeletal pain with the Corlet and Manenica checklist (1980). All variables were collected in the morning, before the journey and the end of the workday and then combined with the samples by gender, age, working time in the company and body mass index. The results showed that workers performing high numbers of shares techniques during the day, the levels of musculoskeletal pain and the amount is considerably in handgrip muscle strength declines by comparing pre and post journey. It was noted that the working time and BMI influenced the perception of discomfort during the day. It was concluded that the work on production lines, emiautomated influences the functionality of the upper limbs of workers and is characterized as a condition of high risk to develop RSI/WRMDs.
