Resumen
Introduction: Brazilian Soccer has always been known and famous for producing its own talents, talents that in the vast majority of times were enough to achieve the results in the contests in dispute. However in the last reference competitions, such as the 2014 World Cup and the 2015 and 2016 America Cup, only the talent of our athletes didn’t prove enough to maintain the country’s hegemony in the modality. These negative results reverberated many doubts and questions about what factors were responsible for this low Brazilian soccer income. Objective: For this the present study intended to analyze descriptively the characteristics of the soccer training sessions in the under-15 categories of the three clubs of Curitiba’s city. Methods: The sample was represented by teams from the under-15 category, with head office in the city of Curitiba and/or Metropolitan Region. For the collection of this information and for the process of systematic observation and categorization of the training sessions, with the purpose of verifying empirically the organization of Soccer training in the basic categories, was used as a research instrument the protocol of analysis of the training sessions developed by Stefanello (1999), applied and adapted to soccer by Soares et al. (2010). The protocol allowed the identification of the following parameters: a) Identification; b) Structural Complexity of the Activity; c) Training Segment; d) Training Segment Type; e) Training Segment Level. The descriptive analysis of the data was performed by grouping the obtained data, to determine the mean and standard deviation of the time spent with each of the types of activities performed in the training sessions. Results: After the observations and analysis, there was a new soccer moment in the basic categories of teams in Curitiba, with more contextualized training and a lower prevalence of more analytical methodologies; however the cognitive component is still neglected. Conclusion: The training that looking for to train athletes begins to experience a new phase, but the challenge continues, to provide in training situations closer to the reality of the game.
