Resumen
This research was developed at a Technical School, located in the city of Cotia, São Paulo, to analyze and reflect on practices of strategic planning of teachers and difficulties encountered for their voluntary participation. This research also wanted to raise and analyze the mechanisms of stimulus to this participation. The Technical School called Etec, belongs to the Paula Souza Technological Education State Center. It is an autarchy of the State Government of São Paulo linked to the Department of Economic Development, Science and Technology. Nowadays it runs 211 Technical Schools (Etecs) and 56 College of Technology (Fatecs) in 161 municipalities of São Paulo. The data were collected through interviews and questionnaires to reflect the vision of each category in relation to the theme participation in planning. When we look at the results of the research we found out that the lack of communication and alignment between the team manager and the team teaching is still the biggest obstacle to effective teacher participation in the process of developing the strategic planning of the school.
