Abstract

The current essay aims for the conception, development, implementation and release of an independent platform to publish and sell electronic books – eBooks –, adopting for these ends the programming language PHP (Hypertext Pre Processor), MySql, the eBooks conversion tool Calibre, the integrity checking tool EPUB Check and diverse fundaments of the digital publishing market, such as market analysis, understanding of the leading enterprises’ business models and national initiatives on the publishing and selling of the above-mentioned product.
