Training in environmental education can become one of the most important tools to change the behavior of the population to develop a culture of sustainability, and the school as a builder of the future, and students the best actors for the implementation of this pedagogy. This educational process should consider the importance of environmental knowledge structured in ethical values, policies for social interaction and the fair distribution of benefits and losses caused to nature. The national curriculum include environmental education as an interdisciplinary field to the other, but the observation of everyday school life versifica that there is the necessary time available for learning this subject. From the literature analyzed the pertinent literature on the subject reinforce the need to maintain environmental education as interdisciplinary subject, but empirical research revealed serious obstacles to its implementation, mainly due to the organization of the curriculum, the lack of preparation of teachers and other.
