Resumen
This study aims to evaluate the main influences of the surroundings (type of pavement, type of flowerbeds, size of free area, soil temperature) and their influence on the tree falling of road trees in São Mateus do Sul – PR. To realize this study, four individuals of each tree species will be selected, based on the data from the City's Master Plan of Urban Forestry. The analyzed variables are going to be in relation to the crown radius, total height, CAP, roots system health, soil temperature, type of floor and type of free area and type of cover of free area where these individuals are found. Thus, the best type of pavement and coverage of the free area for the urban environment were said to be permeable, offering individuals adequate conditions for the development of the root system. From the physical conditions of the soil it was observed that as the soil temperature increases, the root growth is smaller, which a limiting factor is and that the use of permeable cover helps to reduce this heating, in addition to presenting less soil compaction. Therefore, it is important to emphasize that the quality of the root system is influenced by the conditions of the environment where they are inserted and that bad planning and implantation of the trees results in several problems, increasing the number of trees falling and increasing the number of sidewalks, Outcropping in the free area and rooting of roots, as well as in the integrity or degree of root rot.
