Resumen
This qualitative and interpretative research has the theme of Exploratory Tasks and Mathematical Reasoning. The objective is to analyze the mathematical reasoning processes mobilized by students of a 2nd year high school class when solving an exploratory mathematical task and actions of the teacher in the face of this task. To this end, in this study we conducted a theoretical discussion about mathematical reasoning and the processes related to it, about the actions of teachers who support mathematical reasoning and about tasks of an exploratory nature, based on studies carried out by several authors. The data that make up the corpus of analysis of this research were collected by audio and video records, during the performance of the exploratory task in the respective class. The results show that the teacher's actions contribute to the process of identifying patterns, formulating conjectures, justification and generalization, highlighting the potential that teaching actions can have in the development of students' mathematical reasoning.
