Resumen
In the dyeing polyamide articles is required a high concentration of chemicals products, such as dyes, which results in the generation of a high amount of toxic effluent. Thus reducing the consumption of these products is of utmost importance both for the textile industry and for society and the environment. With this, the use of products that reduce the consumption of dyes during dyeing becomes attractive. In this context, the general goal of this study was to investigate the influence of β- cyclodextrin in the dyeing of knit composition 100% polyamide with dye C.I. disperse yellow 211. For this purpose, it was performed kinetic studies and the balance studies of the polyamide dyeing with and without the use of β-Cyclodextrin. However, it can shows that it is possible the formation of a complex between β-cyclodextrin and the dye CI Disperse Yellow 21, which gave a slower dyeing process, thus, the β- cyclodextrin acts as a retarding reagent, may produce the effect of improving uniformity of dyeing and dye affinity with the fiber. Another important point considered was that the presence of β-Cyclodextrin in the dyeing bath caused the increase of the amount of dye adsorbed by the fiber, besides a possible mechanism change in the process in which the isotherm obtained by dyeing without the use of β- cyclodextrin is set by the Freundlich's model and the isotherm data obtained with the use of β-cyclodextrin has been adjusted by the Nernst's model.
