Resumen
Currently, concerns about the scarcity of non-renewable resources and the increase in environmental problems have been increasingly debated worldwide. The search for new technologies that can mitigate these problems is being developed and studied worldwide. The promotion of renewable energy systems has been growing in recent years due to government incentives and the characteristics of these technologies. And among these alternative energy generation systems, solar photovoltaic systems have become more prominent lately because they have sustainable and flexible deployment characteristics. On the other hand, it is believed that in Brazil the service sector, due to its characteristics and representativeness, is one of the most demanded for electricity. Because of this and the economic instability and future unpredictability caused by Coronavirus (COVID19), it is believed that there are opportunities to be evaluated in relation to the application of this technology in the sector. Therefore, the objective of this work is to carry out an economic and environmental feasibility analysis for the deployment of photovoltaic panels in the service sector, being developed by a case study applied in gas stations in the municipality of Ponta Grossa PR. The methodology used will be based on economic engineering tools and environmental feasibility analysis comparing specific generations of systems. The results obtained demonstrate that the project is viable both from an economic and environmental point of view, in addition, it is in line with the expectations and goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Finally, this work strengthens the application of engineering tools in real cases in order to obtain satisfactory results and emphasizes the issue of scarcity of nonrenewable resources, highlighting the importance of applying alternative and environmentally friendly systems.
