Resumen
The lack of regular physical activities is directly related to human emotional and physical health. In addition, lower limb amputations imply in serious mobility difficulties, consequently in a reduction on the practice of physical activities. This work analyzes the tensions in an inferior flex-type prosthesis, which is the most suitable for the practice of physical activities by amputees. The modeling was carried out with three variations of internal angles, three materials were selected to constitute the prosthesis blade and also found contour conditions that simulate the real use of the prosthesis. The analyzes were realized through the finite element method. The results of equivalent stress in each scenario were compared to each other, making it possible to conclude that prostheses with smaller angles, with the parameters tested, are subject to greater demands; also, that the proposed model allows the use of two of the selected materials in the manufacture of the prosthesis, a third selected material presented failures due to their low compressive yield strength.
