Panorama de riscos e agentes presentes em ambientes de trabalho em Curitiba e região

Abstract

Occupational hygienists and workplace safety professionals frequently attend work environments aiming the identification of potential risks and dangerous agents and, by using workplace safety policies, reducing worker’s exposition to sources of accidents and occupational hazards. The intent of this monograph is to analyze a database built with the information collected by those professionals and obtain relevant statistics that allow us to see in perspective the distribution of risks and agents in the Curitiba metropolitan area. The database also holds information about the degree of risk, number of workers and the branch of activity of the visited companies, offering criteria which can be used to extract statistics and elaborate data visualization of the targeted region and the present risks with maps and charts. With that information in hand, we can better concentrate the efforts in companies of specific branches of activity and the most relevant agents, collaborating for workplace safety in a more efficient fashion.
