Resumen
One of the most important weather events in climate characterization is precipitation. The study of rainfall, especially heavy rainfall, is of great importance for the most diverse engineering works, such as urban drainage, channel sizing, flood control, soil conservation management, mapping of areas susceptible to flooding, among others. This work aims to analyze the intensity-duration-frequency curves of the Mourão river basin, located in the center-west of Paraná. The daily data of 10 pluviometric stations between 1980 and 2016 were obtained from the Instituto das Águas do Paraná in the Hydrological Information System. The data were organized in spreadsheets, where he subsequently selected the daily maxima for each year studied. From these data, the method of disaggregation was applied where the coefficient of disaggregation of rainfall was used (adapted by Riguetto (1998), transforming rainfall of one day into rainfall of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 60, 360, 540, 600, 720 and 1440 minutes and the values were adjusted to obtain the maximum precipitation for the return periods of 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 , 50, 75 and 100 years. From the data obtained, compared them with the data generated by the Software Rain 2.1. The intensity, duration and frequency (IDF) curves were plotted and later spatialized. Comparing the two models applied, the highest rainfall intensities were recorded for the short durations, from 5 to 60 minutes, and for durations longer than 60 minutes, the lowest values were recorded. Engineer Beltrão, Luiziana and Rio Mourão presented the highest highs of intense precipitation. The lowest values of precipitation intensity were obtained for the stations of Quinta do Sol and Luiziana. Heavy rains with the highest precipitated volumes occurred upstream of the basin. It is important to emphasize that both the static factor and the climatic dynamics are responsible for this distribution pattern. The model that best fit this study was the method of disaggregation that presented results close to the real ones.
