Acessibilidade em repositório educacional aberto: uma análise para usuários cegos

Abstract

This final course’s academic work contains a research about accessibility requirements in websites, taking in consideration some guidelines and recommendations contained at WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and e-MAG (Accessibility Model of Electronic Government) applying some of these recommendations in order to improve the interaction of blind users or people with some vision difficulties which it can be uses the educational repositories as a learning tool. This work contains also how the assistive technologies use can helps the users’ interaction with those disabilities, showing and comparing some of these available technologies for uses. The results obtained were: a better interaction of the screen reader with repository contents, the possibility to user to use only the keyboard during the navigation on the repository and also a guarantee that all objects from repository will contain the respective description and alternative texts.
