Resumen
Talking about oxidation has been a difficult task for teachers in high school. Relating the content to the student's experience is of utmost importance and when we talk about oxidation reaction, we can use something that is present in the student's life, since, prior to birth, these reactions occur daily in his own body and also in materials of your daily life, such as metals, woods, plastic and so on. In order to facilitate understanding and build critical student knowledge, it is important that teachers use tools that go beyond the traditional classroom, such as animations to demonstrate how reactions happen, experiments, and other resources that differ from the idea of only one theoretical class . The objective of this study was to develop a practical theoretical method in which the oxidation processes are related to the daily life of high school students. Through this practice, it is intended to awaken in the students, besides the construction of a knowledge about oxidation, the care with the environmental prevention.
