Abstract

The present work focuses on the welding quality in a metallurgical company, focusing on the TIG (GTAW) welding process with welding parameters based on the tacit knowledge of the welder and to make a comparison with the literature. In order to verify if the process is controlled through the use of the graphical control tool. Analyzing the welding process that didn’t present the ideal statistical control, following the parameters mentioned in the literature, both in the control of specification and in the process control, so the process is out of statistical control, observe the defects generated as the welded parts using stainless steel material and its design specifications.
