Bem-estar animal: material interdisciplinar para os professores e alunos do ensino fundamental, anos iniciais

Abstract

This study aimed at developing an interdisciplinary primer for elementary school teachers to work on animal welfare in the classroom. This material was the result of bibliographic research, and is subdivided into material for the teacher and material for the student. The booklet for teachers presents eight topics that discuss the main points when it comes to the welfare of pets, the importance of educational activities with the theme and final considerations. This material as well as the presentation to the students was elaborated in simple language and easy to understand, in order to sensitize the greatest number of people. This booklet and the presentation to the students consist in a viable instrument to approach the academic-scientific knowledge with the society and a way to sensitize it about the problem and the possibility to intervene in it through educative actions.
