Resumen
The purpose of this work was to develop a manual with ergonomic suggestions to define and systematize the procedures to be adopted in a design of school furniture able to pay attention to the needs of low vision students and in its result, show great postural variations. The resourses of assistive technology that join to the ergonomic criteria to expand the visual abilities of this contingent of students. With the character of applied and descriptive research, the theorical reference offered support for the definition of demand, characterization of users and school furniture, considering the physical characteristcs and setting body dimension, considering the age variation, level of visual acuity and the characteristics of eyepiece disease. It was selected, with stratified sampling, the demand and it held the anthropometric survey of the sample subject, with the checking of the variables, when it calculated the average estimate value and pattern deviation, wich represents the degree of the variability of measures. The sample subject were divided by sort. The Ishikawa Diagram provided grants to reveal the indicators of the approached problematic, the survey of the cause and consequence. With the reiterated observation of research subjects in situations of school learnings and the use of stuffs adopted by schools, they sattled the incoveniences and incoherences of the furniture used by low vision students at the multifunctional sources classrooms in their own pattern schools. Were proposed adjustments to the school furnitures which has provided safety, comfort and stability during the performance of the proposed activities in the learning environment.
