Resumen
Building fire prevention and fighting systems are developed to avoid these kind disasters and in their occurrence protect life. In the state of Paraná, the security measures must agree with the new Fire Safety and Panic Code (CSCIP), which is valid since January 2012, replacing the Fire Prevention Code (CPI), of 2001. Due to the recent CSCIP promulgation, it was identified some difficulty of the professionals in designing in agreement to the new requirements and the further approval of their projects by the supervision agency. In order to develop a reference material to assist engineers with identifying the new CSCIP requirements, specifically the active protection measures of conventional new buildings. The aim of this work is to analyze comparatively the CSCIP in face to the CPI. To this end, a literature review was performed, the NPT 018 to 023 and 026 of the CSCIP were analyzed and their requirements were compared with the CPI and related Brazilian standards. It was verified that the NTP analyzed have a wider range, they are more detailed and have easier technical understanding than CPI. Although require more complex active protection systems, which intend being safer and more efficient in firefighting. They and are strongly grounded in ABNT and the São Paulo Military Police Fire Department standards, in agreement, therefore, with the best national normative references.
