Resumen
Packaging become prominent in the strategies of many companies, emphasizing the need for investment in technologies such as coextrusion, which is defined as the combination of two or more layers of molten polymers that form a single film and meet specific performance requirements for a given application. The coextrusion allows to optimize the characteristics of the polymers of higher cost, minimizing the amount required to meet specific purposes of sealing, adhesion, gloss, rigidity, impact resistance, tearing, perforation, among others. With the objective to differentiate the flexible packaging laminate of coextruded, checking which has better performance to the market, the packages were submitted to teste of tensile strength, stretching, weight and thickness. It was found that the coextruded film differs significantly compared to the laminate: although the coextruded sample in question to have lower thickness, has tensile strength and high elongation compared to laminated packaging. His substitution in the market may occur in a satisfactory manner considering the coextruded films have a more agile production scale compared to laminated films, due to the amount of process steps.
