Estudo das relações entre as características físicas do solo e o fator de segurança no perímetro urbano de Francisco Beltrão

Abstract

This work aims to analyze the relationship between soil physical characteristics and safety factor concerning slope stability. Physical characteristics of the soil were listed: liquidity limit, plasticity limit, specific weight and basic infiltration velocity. The study was carried out in the urban perimeter of the city of Francisco Beltrão, Paraná state, where soil samples were collected at twenty-four points distributed in the urban perimeter, performed in loco or laboratory analysis to obtain the data. Data analysis was performed with R software, applying Pearson’s correlation analysis, statistical graphs, principal components analysis and clustering. The results indicates that there is a correlation between the physical characteristics of the soil and the safety factor.
