Aplicação da manutenção centrada na confiabilidade em extrusoras de borracha

Abstract

With the increasing technological progress, organizations seek the optimization and efficiency of the production system, in a general context the maintenance becomes a pillar of the organizational strategy, because through appropriate methodologies and techniques it is possible to guarantee the reliability of the equipment, greater availability, fault reduction, and maintenance costs. This paper presents an application study of the implementation of the MCC (Reliability Centered Maintenance) methodology in a multinational in the pneumatic sector, in the process of tire construction specifically in a rubber extrusion equipment. In addition to achieving a satisfactory result in the proposed objectives of reducing by seventy percent the number of failures, reduction in maintenance costs by twenty percent and the elaboration of a correct maintenance plan for the equipment, there was also a significant increase in the availability and performance of the equipment.
