Resumen
Standard engine is the main deficiency in children and adults in today's society, especially to individuals who are not physically active. The present study aimed to compare the levels of motor patterns in children practicing judo aged 8-11 years. And research a case study, the study participants were 14 judo practitioners in two different institutions of Curitiba. To check the standard of gross motor skills of individuals, we applied the Test of Gross Development - Second Edition (TGMD - 2) , proposed by Ulrich (2000) . After data collection, they were tabulated and used Easy TGMD2 V. 1.0 software proposed by Souza (2008) to determine the locomotor and object control standards, as well as the overall standard motor as the performance of each participant the implementation of TGMD - 2. Descriptive statistics were applied to obtain the mean and standard deviation of variables, chronological age, age locomotor, locomotor delay, age control objects, control objects and delayed motor quotient. Based on the results, it can be said that extracurricular practice does not exert positive influence on motor development practitioners individual , however the fact that the participants are beginners in the sport can justify this.
