En este trabajo se aborda el tema de la naturaleza jurídica de las Universidades Nacionales, exponiendo para ello las principales tesis que al respecto han formulado la doctrina y la jurisprudencia venezolana. La importancia del tema consiste en que si erróneamente se llegara a equiparar la naturaleza jurídica de las Universidades Nacionales con la de los institutos autónomos, se podría ver mermada la autonomía universitaria.This work approaches the subject of legal nature of the National Universities. Thus, we present the main theses which have formulated the doctrine and the Venezuelan jurisprudence.
