This article aims to show the results of the research aimed to analyze the usage of mobile devices in teachers belonging to the Educational Institution Industrial Technician Antonio Prieto in the city of Sincelejo-Sucre, Colombia. The research is based on theoretical postulates of Aguirre and Navarro (2013), Tiching (2014), Martinez (2013), Sandoval and others (2012), Touron (2015), UNESCO (2012) and Vacchieri (2013) among others; and it is framed as a descriptive, correlational, with a field design, not experimental. The population consisted of one hundred thirty four (134) teachers from the headquarters of the Industrial Technical School "Antonio Prieto" in the city of Sincelejo Sucre, Colombia. Observation technique used by survey to collect information, to be made an instrument made up of forty-eight (48) items. For data analysis, descriptive statistics were used. It was concluded that teachers in the institution in context, make use of mobile devices with a weak presence in the development of technological skills.El presente artículo tiene como propósito mostrar los resultados de la investigación orientada a analizar el uso de los dispositivos móviles en los docentes pertenecientes a la Institución Educativa Técnico Industrial Antonio Prieto de la ciudad de Sincelejo-Sucre, Colombia. La investigación se sustentó en los postulados teóricos de Aguirre y Navarro (2013), Tiching (2014), Martínez (2013), Sandoval and others (2012), Touron (2015), UNESCO (2012) y Vacchieri (2013), entre otros; y se enmarca como descriptiva, correlacional, con un diseño de campo no experimental. La población estuvo conformada por ciento treinta y cuatro (134) docentes pertenecientes a las sedes de la Institución Educativa Técnico Industrial “Antonio Prieto” de la ciudad de Sincelejo-Sucre, Colombia. Para la recolección de la información, se utilizó la técnica de la observación mediante encuesta, siendo elaborado un instrumento conformado por cuarenta y ocho (48) ítems. Para el análisis de los datos, se utilizó la estadística descriptiva. Se concluyó que los docentes de la institución en contexto, hacen uso de los dispositivos móviles con una presencia débil del desarrollo de competencias tecnológicas.
