This research descriptive character field, aimed to analyze the guiding role of the teacher to the child abuse social phenomenon, demonstrated among children in different educational institutions of Lara state. To determine the existing phenomenon quantitative descriptive field research was conducted, while a type rating scale instrument whose purpose was to determine the need for teachers to acquire tools that enable them to detect and channel scenarios applied of child abuse. After obtaining the results applied to twenty (20) teaching questionnaire, an analysis and interpretation of the results to finally establish a series of conclusions and recommendations that I aspire to be a contribution it was made allowing not only educators, but also Representatives face the parents and child abuse social phenomenon, which has been accentuated in recent years. La presente investigación de campo de carácter descriptiva, tuvo como objetivo analizar el rol orientador del docente ante el fenómeno social maltrato infantil, que se evidencian entre los niños y niñas en las diferentes instituciones educativas del estado Lara. Para determinar el fenómeno existente se realizó una investigación cuantitativa de campo de carácter descriptiva, al tiempo que se aplicó un instrumento tipo escala de estimación cuyo propósito fue determinar la necesidad que tienen los docentes de adquirir herramientas que les permita la detección y canalización de posibles situaciones de maltrato infantil. Luego de la obtención de los resultados del cuestionario aplicado a veinte (20) docentes, se realizó un análisis e interpretación de los resultados para finalmente establecer una serie de conclusiones y recomendaciones que aspiro sea un aporte que permita no sólo a Educadores, sino también a Padres y Representantes enfrentar el fenómeno social maltrato infantil, el cual se ha venido acentuando en los últimos años.
