The works of Pablo Antonio Cuadra are marked by the reality of interbreeding, both for himself and his environment. Since the Nicaraguan "vanguardistas" claim their identity comes from the antagonism they acknowledge between two spaces, national and European, be it geographical, cultural or ideological, we will study the meaning of space for the poet. We emphasize the relationship between the space occupied by the person, and the word's primordial function that enables to dominate the environment and organise it: the immediate space, and then a widening horizon, for the wayfaring people that received from their double origin the pulsion of adventure, but were also submitted to seculary migrations and harrowing exiles.La obra de Pablo Antonio Cuadra está marcada por la realidad del mestizaje, así para el mismo como para su entorno. Cuando los vanguardistas nicaragüenses afirman su identidad partiendo del antagonismo entre dos espacios, el nacional y el europeo, tanto en lo geográfico como lo cultural e ideológico, cabe estudiar qué sentido cobra el espacio para el poeta. Se subraya la relación entre el espacio ocupado por la persona y la función primordial del verbo que permite adueñarse del entorno y organizarlo -el espacio inmediato-, y luego un horizonte que va ensanchándose, para un pueblo viajero que recibió de su doble origen la pulsión de la aventura, pero también fue sometido a seculares migraciones y desgarradores exilios.
