dc.description.abstract | Hubbs' octopus Octopus hubbsorum Berry, 1953 is reported at 24 localities along the Pacific coast of Mexico. The distribution of the species, previously recorded in the Gulf of California (2855'N, 11332'W) and in Melaque (southern coast of Jalisco) (1912'N, 10540'W), is extended south to Salina Cruz, Oaxaca (1610'N, 9514'W). Specimens were captured in the intertidal and subtidal zones to depths of 30 m.
