The role of the phase in an accurate description of the entanglement of bipartite system was investigated. The positive operator-valued measures that described the qubit phase properties were also examined. The results showed that the relative phase which emerged when the individual phases was casted to the phase sum and phase difference was an effective tool for examining entanglement.
