dc.descriptionThe constant search for the best results is a priority issue in any organizational agenda, so, in addition to making efficient use of tangible resources, the challenge for strategists is to capitalize on the available intangible resources. Therefore, the objective of this manuscript is to determine the relationship between intellectual capital (IC) on organizational performance (OP). The method used was bibliometric analysis using a database of 2,559 scientific articles indexed in Scielo, Scopus and Web of Science, from 1980 to 2019. The results suggest that the study of IC and OP has transcended over the years Since the information presented provides a comprehensive view of the evolution and impact on this topic. Regarding the limitations of this work, the scientific resources used in carrying out the bibliometric analysis (i.e. scientific publications and databases) should be mentioned.en-US
dc.descriptionLa búsqueda constante de los mejores resultados es un tema prioritario en cualquier agenda organizacional, por lo cual, además de hacer un uso eficiente de los recursos tangibles, el desafío de los estrategas es capitalizar los recursos intangibles disponibles. Por ello, el objetivo del presente manuscrito es determinar la relación entre el capital intelectual (CI) sobre el desempeño organizacional (DO). El método empleado fue un análisis bibliométrico mediante una base de datos de 2,559 artículos científicos indexados en Scielo, Scopus y Web of Science, del año 1980 al 2019. Los resultados sugieren que el estudio del CI y DO ha trascendido en el transcurso de los años, puesto que la información presentada brinda una visión integral de la evolución e impacto en esta temática. Respecto a las limitaciones de este trabajo, debe mencionarse los recursos científicos utilizados en la realización del análisis bibliométrico (i.e. publicaciones científicas y bases de datos).es-ES
