Colorectal cancer is characterized as the increase or development of malignant cells that originate in the large intestine such as: caecum, ascending colon, transverse, descending, sigmoid and rectum, which if not treated in time and correctly can cause complications that can reaching death, the first measure of prevention and treatment in cancer diseases are healthy lifestyles such as the correct intake of food, since it allows to reduce the risk factors of acquiring the disease, when the patient presents with colorectal cancer on treatment is a surgical doctor, if the patient has positive lymph nodes or tumors that expand to the fatty tissues that surround the rectum, receive chemotherapy and radiation, often before surgery, the treatment will also depend on factors such as age, condition, nutritional health, clinical history and tolerance to certain medications. The exhaustive review of bibliographic information and scientific articles allowed to solve the aforementioned problems. Worldwide, the cancer morbidity and mortality rate will increase to 13 million by the year 2030, due to poor dietary habits that cause tumors in the gastrointestinal tract. Colorectal cancer is the third most diagnosed cancer due to its high rates of morbidity. -mortality in different countries. The application of the nursing care process is essential since it allows the elaboration of care plans, assessing the needs of the patient, where education to the user is essential to avoid possible complications in their health.
