Resumen
The main objective of this practical work was to apply the methods for inventory control of raw materials and finished products, which was carried out after an exhaustive study of theoretical foundations and practical development through calculations to obtain the unit costs of the finished products, using the FIFO, LIFO and Weighted Average Price valuation methods, which provided the required information that will be used for the decision making of the company Parisien SA In this case study, a methodology was applied to analyze the theoretical foundations of the different authors that described what each valuation method consisted of and, based on these theoretical sources, the different calculations were carried out, which resulted in the FIFO and Average methods. They reflected a unit cost of the finished products beneficial to the company, thus concluding that the most optimal inventory valuation method that manufacturing companies should employ is the Weighted one, since it provides a suitable average unit cost that arises from the sum of the existing values in the stock with the values of the new acquisitions that are then divided by the number of existing units, benefiting the company with a correct inventory management and therefore its productivity; It was also determined that the LIFO method is no longer used at present because it causes irregular changes in the monetary values at the time of the calculation, negatively affecting the profitability of the organizations.
