Resumen
The premature rupture of preterm membranes is the loss of the integrity of the coroamniotic membranes between week 20 of gestation and before labor, a global level is the cause of 40% of preterm births. Its causes are obstetric, infectious, socioeconomic, traumatic and in some cases they become unpredictable. Specific diagnostic criteria mainly clinical history, speculoscopy, vaginal flow pH, crystallography, insulin-like growth factor and placental alpha microglobulin. Its management depends on gestational age, but before the review of articles that can not be handled in less than 37 weeks without labor, combined with antibiotics, corticosteroids and magnesium sulfate, it is the most advisable measure to reduce morbidity in the neonate, increase the risk of hemorrhage at the time or after delivery and not increase the risk of a neonatal maternal infection, achieve neonatal maturity and only in cases of less than 32 weeks to perform active management with the consent of family members about possible risks. When the RPMP has started a labor, use Lactobacillus and ampicillin which prolongs the latency time and reduces infections in the pregnant woman. For the purpose of my work is to compare active management versus expectant management, RPM in pregnant women with preterm pregnancy by collecting published studies, for a person who can bring welfare to the mother-child binomial.
