Resumen
The aim in this project is to study the physical layer of the 4G LTE technology, which comprises the following processes: encoding, detection and correction of errors, modulation, orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM), and MIMO techniques for the information transmission, based on the 3GPP standard. From this study, a tool is developed in the Matlab environment, to support teachers and students. The developed software allows the modeling of each of the processes involved in the physical layer, and you can observe step by step each one of them.
This tool allows to replicate the uplink and downlink processes individually, as well as the automated execution of the system. Within these options we can observe measurements of CQI, BER, verify modulation processes, resource allocation, OFDMA and SC-FDMA grid construction, MIMO techniques, among others.
