Resumen
Semen cryopreservation is a technique especially developed to meet two needs: the conservation of valuable genetic material for an indefinite period and the development of AI application representing an instrument par excellence breeding. This study was conducted in the canton Sucúa. Stallion was used only to control the variable individual, he underwent an evaluation process of riding ability - libido. Following this six ejaculates were collected, two from each treatment and analyzed the physico - chemical. Following this semen diluted in the different treatments: trehalose, sucrose and Triladyl, was packaged in 0.5 ml straws and frozen. After 15 days was 20 thawing straws for bath treatment and evaluated for motility and viability of sperm abnormality determining the effects of each of the cryoprotectants used, by ANOVA and Tukey test being in motility progressive trend p = 0.09, trehalose (32.00%) and sucrose (29.45%), but compared with the diluent Triladyl (46.50%), the latter proved to be better (p <0.05). percentage relative to the Triladyl viability between treatments (51.80%) was better (p <0.05), trehalose (33.85%) and sucrose (31.85%) and no differences (p> 0.05) in relation the variable abnormalities.
