Resumen
Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the frequency and types of presentation of breast cancer in Solca - Cuenca in the periods 2008 -2010, in incidence, and characteristics as, age, occupation, and gender.
Materials and methods: This study is a descriptive retrospective the final sample was 324, which met the inclusion criteria. Which included: medical record number, study variables such as age, occupation, education of the patient, profession, types of breast cancer, parity, age at menarche onset, age at onset of menopause?. The results from a statistical analysis were obtained in SPSS 15.00. Evaluation Version.
Results:
The findings are important because they allow us to know the current statistics of cancer comprising a majority mama. the age of 31 to 40 years accounting for56.5% married status had greater frequency of 48.9%. Attended were from the Azuay province at a rate of 56.0%.
The complete secondary instruction is found highest percentage with 27.7%.
In occupation were to represent 24.8%traders followed housework in 20.5%.
In parity was obtained that the number of both parties to a 46.3% followed by no considerable third of deliveries and delivery with 23.5% and 19.9% considerably.
People who had their first menstruation to 12 years of age with a rate of 66.4%.
Infiltrating lobular carcinoma with a percentage of 42.3% is more often followed by ductal carcinoma with a frequency of 31.6% and 26.1% of lobular carcinoma 329 people attended.
Conclusions: It was concluded that our study met the objectives and was very important because it allows us to know the current frequency of breast cancer in our population
