Resumen
The findings of our paper began with a search on the definition of thee word ¨group¨. We proceeded to determine, the roles of the teacher and students, the features that make up a learning community, the types of learning groups which could be created, the process of establishing groups and how to place them within the classroom.
We have included several warm-up activities to make the students understand how important team work is, information on learning techniques and approaches and finally a number of evaluation formats.
The paper later illustrates how “team work” is applied at morning and afternoon mixed public schools of Cuenca, asking teachers and students on the types of groups used and monitoring if they followed the guidelines of what “group work” really stands for.
As we end our task we finally propose an option which embraces the parameters of “group work”, detailing the steps to teach the contents of Statistics and Probability in the First General Unified High School presented.
