Resumen
This project is based on the determination of prolactinin 50 women between 18 and 30years old with irregular menstrual cycles of Cuenca city.
The present work is a descriptive, prospective, not experimental study, we worked with 50 samples carrying the duplicate50% of them, for which we obtained serum from each of the patients and are samples were taken to laboratory Public Service at the University of Cuenca for analysis by “METODO DE QUIMIOLUMINICENCIA”.
We also conducted a survey to obtain information on patients such as: age, Bleeding time in days, time between each menstrual period, body mass index, level of stress and problems related to the female reproductive tract.”
Ended sample analysis results were obtained: 72% of the samples were within the normal ranges of Prolactin and 28% of the patients had hyperprolactinemia, this concluding that the highest percentages of samples are within the reference ranges (up to20ng/ml).
We also carried out statistical analysis using the formula de “chi cuadrado de Pearson”. The result being that there is no statistically significant association between prolactin values and variables.
