BACKGROUND INFORMATION: the evaluation of internal coherence of the curriculum has leaded to the identification of strengths and weaknesses regarding the implementation of curriculum designs that will enable us to learn from nd high scientific quality in the formation of human talent.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE: to determine the level of coherence between the micro-curricular structure and the system of evaluation of the nursing internship program for the period 2016-2017.
METHODOLOGY: Mixed evaluation, descriptive-transversal study, universe of 149, 114 interns participated. The techniques used were: qualitative such as the documentary analysis, quantitative such as surveys, the analysis was done by applying hermeneutic dialectics and designed matrixes; for the survey a SPSS, version 22, was applied, by means of descriptive statistics in percentages and frequencies.
RESULTS: The documentary analysis determine the internal coherence of the macro-curriculum and the program syllabus, applying all theoretical paradigms that are revealed through its objectives, contents, its methodology, and its internship plans. The following was confirmed by the interns: 81.6% stated that the Care Philosophy paradigm was applied, 94,1% state that professional competencies were strengthened. In fact, the cognitive level that was reached corresponds to the analysis, application, and to interpretation more than memorization; 64.1% mentioned that they used critical thinking learning.
CONCLUSION: this study demonstrates the internal coherence between the macro-curriculum and the syllabus of the subject of the internship, with a score of 38/40 which means a high level of coherence due to the experience of the teaching staff, the vision and the planning.
