History allows the individual to be aware of their origens, meet the social and national identity around him and through oral or written testimony can know the past, identify and understand facts or political events, social, economic and artistic that have propelled the development of a town or city. As such in this research has demonstrated and explored the history, development and current view of popular music orchestra, "The Tauros" and orchestra "New Generation" of the Piñas city, and so can transmit the musical patrimony to new generations, through written testimony and consolidate the historical and cultural identity, which will raise awareness the population for spread the participation of orchestras and furthermore promote tourism of the Piñas city. This research is mixed, type (quantitative-qualitative) supported by the exploratory and descriptive methods, it builds upon the analysis of numerical data and/or theoretical frame of reference. The sample represents the directors and members of the orchestra and “The Tauros”, orchestra “New Generation” and the inhabitants of the city of Piñas. Tabulated and analyzed relevant data, they produced the following results: The above bands mentioned enjoy of gread popularity; the same give enhancement to parochial festivities, religious festivals, and social events, in addition to being a reference for the development of new music artists Piñas city, so warranting documenting its history, development and current vision.
