Recorrido por los géneros de música ecuatoriana. Montaje de un concierto didáctico con la creación de arreglos instrumentales de: danzante, yumbo, sanjuanito, pasacalle, pasillo y albazo

Abstract

This degree project sums up the creation of six arrangements of Ecuadorian music in the genres “danzante”, “yumbo”, “sanjuanito”, “pasacalle”, “pasillo”, and “albazo”, with the finality of generating useful information for the diffusion of said genres thru mounting an educational concert directed at the general public of Cuenca. The purpose has been to recreate the selected pieces with the timbre and versatility of an instrumental format which includes drums, bass, piano, acoustic and electric guitar and violin. Similary, a brief synopsis of the musical genres of traditional Ecuadorian music proposed in this Project, has been used in the creation of these arrangements, using these as models for study. As a principal aspect of diffusion, the proposal of an educational concert considers its objective as showing and sharing the wide variety of traditional genres that exist in our country. The concert provides this educational element. The present document, necessary for obtaining the academic title, contains an introduction, four chapters, conclusions, recommendations, annexes, completed with previously mentioned content such as the educational concert, of Ecuadorian musical genres, their theoretical foundations, the processes of the creation of arrangements, educational guide lines, along with final results achieved at completion of the project.
