Resumen
The proposed present of investigation is to carry out a study of the chakana,
about its symbolic-cultural value and to determine how its permanency is marked
in the contemporary culture and of what it forms the chakana it influences in the
creative processes of some local groups of traditional dance. By means of this
information it is sought to design a methodology of scenic construction and to
elaborate a dance-theater assembly that contributes to the development of the
Ecuadorian scenic art, and reinforce the appraisement of the Andean symbols in
the current culture.
“Bouquet of roads” it is a dance assembly - theater that one knits starting from
psico-corporal states that are derived of the experimentation actoral, with the four
elements of the nature (it dilutes, fire, earth, air) that they become factors that
stimulate the movement, the corporal energy and they configure the general
dynamics of the work. It is also based in the exploration carried out in some
groups of traditional dance of Cuenca, to know their working methodology. To all
this it is added my personal vision of the contemporary dance and the theater, to
be able to this way to approach the coalition of scenic languages.
The work has as symbolic axis to the old man that represents the earth, the air,
the fire and the water. The corporal work of the dancers evokes mythological
gods and sacred animals of the Andean mythology. It is appealed to sounds of
traditional instruments of wind and several authors' music. The conception of the
choreographic design in the space, manages the geometric forms of the chakana
that represent the cycles of life of the human being inside the Andean
cosmovisión
