Resumen
Considering that persistent pain of non-odontogenic origin may appear after endodontic therapy, it is important that clinical odontologists know about it as to avoid diagnostic errors and non efficacious, unnecessary and irreversible dental procedures, which will not satisfy the patient while raising doubt about the expertise of the clinical operator as to solve the main patient's complaint.
This aspect has clinical relevance since medical doctors as well as odontologists should be aware of pain signs derived from non-odontogenic sources.
