In the last decade in Ecuador, as in some countries in the region (Argentina, Bolivia and Venezuela), legislation referring to space communications, information and media companies were approved. In Ecuador the new Constitution I derive the Communications Law, leading to an atmosphere of great intentions between the government of former President Econ. Rafael Correa Delgado and means of private character. Organic Law of Communication (LOC) in the Ecuadorian state regulates several areas of the structures of the media either, organizational and content that they broadcast; Law in the country is a significant legal precedent, this in an environment where communications are of paramount importance also arranged as a strategic value in different fields of society. An analysis of this legislation examined in depth the changes that occurred in the media and socio-political context in Ecuador following the effect of the regulatory body; the ability to transform had the same power structures in media companies, the scope, both legal and administrative implementation, and the different approaches that emerged on important topics as freedom of expression and information.
