Propuesta de políticas de comunicación desde la perspectiva ética en el benemérito cuerpo de bomberos de la ciudad de Cuenca

Abstract

In Ecuador, citizen participation, ethics in public administration and within them, in public relations, are part of the agenda of their institutions. Although the Meritorious Fire Department of the city of Cuenca does a recognized work, but the impact of its actions in the city of Cuenca and the province of Azuay can be even greater if the communication activities are properly developed. This study aimed to focus on the man and its communication the public relations strategy of this institution, for the above, it was necessary to analyze ethics as a philosophical category from which can be hierarchized public relations in terms of responsibility and social justice in the preventive work of the institution as a transversal axis of public relations. As a result of the research, it was developed a proposal for institutional communication aimed at prevention, integrated from an ethical perspective, for the Meritorious Fire Department of the city of Cuenca, focusing on two elements that characterize this institution: the transparency of its work and the prevention against disasters through the training of its workers and citizens. Based on the results of this research, the communication policy of this entity will be aimed at publicizing the work carried out by its workers, element that it will allow closer ties within the institution, contributing to the strengthening of their identity and improving their relationship with the rest of the community.
