Resumen
The present investigation has a qualitative approach; It begins by collecting information
from scientific academic bibliographic reviews that allowed to establish the importance
of the Education for Citizenship subject in the training of students of the Unified General
Baccalaureate (BGU); It also describes the theoretical foundations of the benefit of using
didactic strategies applied to Social Sciences. Finally, a Didactic Guide was structured
for the subject Education for Citizenship, which means a tool to be used as a resource in
the teaching - learning of BGU students, which will make objective the action of the
teacher and the students within a process of planned and organized teaching. This Guide
categorizes the didactic strategies for the teaching - learning of the indicated subject, with
theoretical and practical content, which will methodologically guide the student in their
academic activity, at the same time that it will support the dynamics of the teaching
process, because the proposal guides the teacher to apply teaching strategies that promote
interaction, participation and cooperation of students individually or collectively;
promote reasoning about social situations in your own community, city or country; that
lead to develop their own capacities for social thinking and critical thinking, valuing the
ideas and points of view of all, understanding, acting and making decisions, to produce
alternative ideas and solve problems
