Resumen
This present research was carried out in “El Cabo” town, which is around Paute town. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the microbiological quality, serological, in a day old of the chicken and the breeding zootechnical purpose in two genetic strains of broilers. We strarted this research whith 500 chicken mixed between male and female of a day old, to which applied a descriptive statistical design with 2 groups of 250 chicks for each genetic line, Cobb 500 and Ross 308. The variables were: maternal antibody titer for Gumboro and Mycoplasma gallisepticum diseases, the level of bacterial contamination on the first day of age, percentage of mortality, daily average weight increase, feed conversion, range of productivity, at the end of the research, we evaluated the production cost per kilogram of meat (live chicken), yield of chicken without guts (%), and breast yield (%). The results were placed to ANOVA for independent samples to compare the averages of the different variables using the statictical package IBM SPSS version 20.0. Both genetic lines were optimal parameters, in physical and microbiological assessment there were no significant differences between the groups. Moreover, the ANOVA applied gave off statistically significant differences in antibody titer to Gumboro where Cobb 500 got a total geometric mean (GMean) of 701 and a CV 49.4%, while Ross 308 got a GMean of 2383 and a CV 37,9%.In the case of Mycoplasma to Cobb 500 got a GMean of 1617 and a CV 64.4% and to Ross 308 a GMean of 6118 and a CV 37,0%. For the production variables, carcass yield (%), breast yield (%), total mortality (%), ascites mortality (%) production variables, no significant differences were found for other variables was the opposite. The cost of a kilogram of meat was lower in the genetic line Cobb 500 with $ 1.63
